Howdy all. Arthur Drew Sidell here; my friends call me Drew... hailing from Fountain Hills, Arizona. I graduated from the Northern Arizona University, in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Philosophy (extended emphasis in pre-med with heavy support in microbiology). I spent a year in graduate school at the University of North Dakota's Department of Space Studies. I didn't like the cold, so off to sunny California where I participated in the UCLA Extension's Certificate Program in Digital Image Creation for Entertainment. I took a few production jobs ranging from a prop fabrication outfit to assisting on various independent projects to an internship leading toward opportunity with SIGGRAPH and Sony Pictures Imageworks. Then there were family issues... Now I've returned to Arizona where I was born-n-raised. Lately, I've been enjoying digital photography. Hello World!

Top 10 Producer Rules
RULE #001 Never tell your Producer to stop blowing up your phone when it pertains to matters of production. You do want to get your movie made, don't you?
RULE #002 If your Producer calls for and schedules a meeting, the Director should not reschedule, without coordination, to make it his own personal growth time, ignoring and wasting the Producer's time when he arrives.
RULE #003 If your Producer is present while production resources arrive, feign interest; definitely don't carry on about decorating your laptop with glitter stickers while boxes of important information sit neglected. You do wanna make

Yay. I get to put some of my other training to real-world use. I've begun helping an old friend produce his independent feature project. No shame in being a newb Producer working with a newb Director. "From tiny acorns do mighty oaks grow," was a favorite saying from an old visual effects instructor of mine back at Silicon Studios (SGI) Santa Monica, CA in the late 90s. Exciting, isn't it? Me... a Producer... I can hardly contain myself. LoL ... time to motivate for a camera test. BBL
